Himmelbett Box Sweep

WEATHER: Niteowl
INSERTS: Do217J-2 for Bf109G6
         optional
RADAR: 'Serrate' (map usuable)

As usual, tonight's bombing raid
requires a disruption of the Holland
Himmelbett box system. Instead of
barrelling in and attacking an airfield,
however, Fighter Command wants to try
out a new tactic of sneaking in with
single-plane groups. The detection
effectiveness of the new 'Serrate' pas-
sive radar system is the basis for this
tactic. Also, German ground station con-
trollers might overlook or miss a single
plane, or only vector solitary fighters
to the contact.

ORDERS:
Fly your Beau north-northeast through
Holland, engaging as many German aircraft
as possible. Any aircraft you draw out
of their boxes may be unable to intercept
bombers passing through later in the
evening.
