DEFENSE OF TOBRUK

In May 1941, Sir Frederick Rosier was the
leader of No. 229 Squadron (Hurricane) in
North Africa. Ju87 Stukas were
constantly attacking the British
airfields. One mission to intercept
attacking Stukas resulted in a very low
level chase, during which a bomb burst
flipped his fighter over on it's back and
ripped the outer covering from a wing and
the tail. He luckily managed to right
himself and land the plane.

MISSION

You are the Squadron commander of No. 229
Squadron (Hurricane) Scramble from your
airfield and defend it from the inbound
Stukas. The mission is a failure if more
