MINING THE SUEZ CANAL

In the heady days of early 1941, it
seemed as if nothing could stop Rommel
and the German initial attacks. Indeed,
in February 1941 He111s went so far as to
mine the Suez Canal to interfere with
British shipping reinforcements and
supplies through there. Ironically, the
major impact of the mining was to delay
British units from leaving Egypt, as
reinforcing Greece was placed on a higher
priority.

MISSION

You are to take your He111 and mine the
Suez Canal, represented by the water
just beyond the designated target area.
Your "bombs" actually represent LMA III
parachute sea mines, and for the mission
to be a success, you must drop them all
in the water (with a splash). Use your
gun camera to confirm your success.

NOTES

This is a day mission
