SIEGE OF SEVASTOPOL

Starting on June 7th 1942, Von Manstein
stepped up the pressure on the
Sevastopol, the Crimean port that had
been cut off for almost 6 months. The
siege climaxed with an amphibious
assault, and on July 2 1942 the fortress
fell with a loss of over 90,000 men to
the Soviets. The fortress-city was
bombed repeatedly by Stukas, who used
monstrous SC 1000 kilogram bombs against
the large fortifications.

MISSION

You are to intercept the Stukas before
they can wreak havoc on the heavy
fortifications at Sevastopol. Beware of
the enemy fighter cover; they are
reported to be top aces.

NOTES

This is a day mission.
